Big ride

Breakfast

I made it through the night without getting rained on. There were rumbles and flashes, but they went around and over without soaking me. :)

There's a breakfast being served at the fairgrounds shelter: biscuits,Pancakes, sausage, donuts. Good pre ride food.

On the way out, I noticed the rear wheel was tight. Followed the cord and found a caribeener and cord had gotten tied up in my derailleur. somehow I got lucky and it managed to wedge alongside the gears rather then tangled in them.

I stopped by the repair stand, since the wheels were contacting the brake pad at one spot, and the tech informed me the wheels were out of true. He put the bike on his stand, tightened and loosened a few spokes, and straightened things out.

The ride today is from Xenia, all the way down to miamiville - 100 miles. Some folks are doing 100 km(60 miles). I might do that, might do a half-century (50 miles), depends on how I'm feeling.

Finally about ready to go - one last thing.. Finishing charging the phone. Probably finishing this blog entry - and waiting for the rain to stop - will be just about long enough. :)
